As a charity, our objects include:

  • to advance the education and skills of adult choral singers

  • to advance the choral education of young people in Cornwall
  • to encourage and develop the music skills of composers of all ages
  • to advance and develop the choral skills of conductors
  • to advance the development of national and international relations between Cornish male choirs and UK and overseas choirs

Under the distinguished patronage of the Lord Lieutenant and Vice Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, the company has organised four festivals in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009. It has received County Council support, regional funding and sponsorship from many individual patrons and commercial interests in Cornwall. The company plans to organise a Festival every two years, the next being in 2011. In each Festival approximately 60 choirs participate from across the world, the UK and, of course, Cornwall. In addition to concerts and other public singing activities, the company organises symposia, workshops, master classes and tuition sessions for directors and singers all with the aim of developing greater strength in the international male voice choir movement and in a spirit of musical friendship.
