Well it's now all over for another two years!! All reports recived to date speak of excellent concerts, wonderful (and capacity) audiences, standing ovations and huge fun in the afterglows and day time singing events. Many emails have been recieved from choirs saying how much they enjoyed the Festival. Some choirs have already asked to return in 2015 (29th April - 4th May). The Festival Director and Festival Board thank everyone involved in the Festival: choirs, musical directors, accompanists, volunteers, accommodation and venue providers and the many volunteers who helped staff venues for this enormous undertaking.
As they become avaialble photographs of Festival events will be posted here. it was a truly memorable time for so many people. Comments from choirs will also be posted on the site so that choirs thinking of coming in 2015 can see how much those that came this year enjoyed it.
International Competition Results
Over all winners and HSBC Championship Choir of 2013:
Harmonie Lindenholzhausen (Germany).
Best UK Choir over all:
Colne Valley Male Voice Choir (Yorkshire).
Best Cornish Choir over all:
Eight in A Bar.
40 Voices and Under Category:
FIRST PRIZE (£1000): Euga Male Voice Choir (Finland);
SECOND EQUAL (£300 each): Synergy (South Wales) and Eight in A Bar (Cornwall).
41 Voices and Over Category:
FIRST PRIZE (£1000): Harmonie Lindenholzhausen (Germany);
SECOND PRIZE (£400): Colne Valley Male Voice Choir (Yorkshire);
THIRD PRIZE (£200): Peterborough Male Voice Choir (Cambridgeshire).
